Foreword to the Present Edition The book was first printed in 1975 under the title Golden Deeds of Muslims. This was a collection of inspiring incidents from Islamic history intended to teach our youth of the lofty principles and morals of Islam. Since its first publication, we have received a large number of requests for this book from the United Kingdom and abroad. The Children’s Book Committee, under the guidance and supervision of Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV rta had revised the text and added a few illustrations, which we hope will be wel- comed by children, parents, and teachers. We are especially grateful to our late brother, Dawood Summers, for his many helpful ideas and comments. Per the instructions of Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V aba, we have redesigned the format in this present edition, added fur- ther illustrations, and revised spellings of Arabic words to help children pronounce them more accurately. Readers are urged to invoke blessings on the Holy Prophet Muhammad whenever his name appears by saying, ‘may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him’, and recite ‘may Allah be pleased with him/her’ when the name of one of his Companions is mentioned.
