192 guidance. When they ignored this Divine message, their pro- gress halted and gradually their con dition became deplorable. Today, mankind has entered a new era. There has been a rapid advancement of science and technology. With this rapid change, new problems have arisen, the solu- tion of which can be found in the Holy Qur’an, the fountain of all knowledge. The need of the day is, there fore, to recognise the dynamic character of the guidance of this mighty book. Once, man turns towards God for guidance, He will lead him out of the shadows and the darkness into the light and the path of peace.
