173 from yet another injured, lying not very far away. The second man motioned him towards the third. Abu Jahm went to the third man but before he could give him the water to drink, he had expired. Abu Jahm hurried back to the second, but he too had died. He ran back to the place where his cousin was lying, but alas, he had also breathed his last. Each of the dying soldiers preferred his brother’s need to his own. May Allah bless their souls with His mercy, for their sacrifice for others even at the expense of their own lives.
