Glossary Ashra Mubashra —The ten pi - ous companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad s as who were vouchsafed entrance to Heaven are known as the Ashra Mubashra. Hadrat —A term of respect used to show honor and reverence for a person of established righteousness and piety. The lit - eral meaning is: His/Her Holi - ness, Worship, Eminence, etc. It is also used for God in the su - perlative sense. Holy Prophet s as —A title used ex - clusively for the Founder of Is - lam, Hadrat Muhammad s as. Holy Quran —The final and per - fect Scripture revealed by Allah for the guidance of mankind for all times to come. It was revealed word by word to the Holy Prophet Muhammad s as over a period of twenty-three years. Jama'at —Defined as community. In general, the Jama'at refers to the entire community of Ah - madi Muslims. Jamia‘ —Understood as group, but more commonly university. Jamia ‘ refers to universities es - tablished around the world by the Ahmadiyya Community to train and educate missionaries and scholars. Kalim a t — Kalim a t , plural of kali - mah , translates most directly to “words. ” Kalim a t can also be understood as anything uttered, or speech (Aqrab); or a decree or commandment (Mufradāt). Besides the literal meaning, the Quran has used the word as “a sign” or “promise” (8:8, 66:13)
