CORRESPONDENCE WITH HADRAT KHAWAJAH GHULAM FARĪD شد ز دستی صیقل آیینه ام پر ز نور دلستان شد سینه ام My heart is filled with the Light of the Beloved, My mirror has indeed been polished by His Hand. کار من شد کار دلدار ازل پیکرم شد پیکر یار ازل My being has become the Being of that Friend who is Forever, And my work has become the work of that Eternal Beloved. بوی یار آمد ازین گلزار من بس که جانم شد نهان در یار من As my life became hidden within my Friend, Hence His fragrance began to emanate from my garden. از گریبانم برآمد دلبری نور حق داریم زیر چادری The Light of God light shines within my covering, That Beloved emanated from within me. آخرین جامی همین جام من است احمد آخر زمان نام من است 'Ahmad of the Latter Days' is my name; And my chalice is verily the last chalice [for the world]. کش خدا بنمود این وقت مراد Glad tidings be for the seeker of God, طالب راه خدا را مژده باد That He has shown him this age of success. از خبرداری همین پرسد خبر هر که را یاری نهان شد از نظر When someone's friend disappears from his sight, He enquires about him from the friend's acquaintances. 219
