CORRESPONDENCE WITH HADRAT KHAWAJAH GHULAM FARĪD امر حق شد اقتدایی کرده ام من نه از خود ادعایی کرده ام I have not made this claim of my own volition, But have only done so in obedience to the command of God. دشمن این دشمن آن دادگر کار حق است این نه از مکر بشر This is the work of God and not the machination of man, Its enemy is but the enemy of that God who is Just. رحمتش در کوی ما باریده است آن خدا کاین عاجزی را چیده است That God who has appointed this humble one- His blessings have rained down in my surroundings. گم شدم آخر رخی آمد پدید مردم و جانان پس از مردن رسید When I died [annihilated my ego], then my Beloved came after this death [of my ego], His Countenance became manifest upon me after I had reduced myself to nothing. غالب آمد رخت ما را در ربود میل عشق دلبری پر زور بود The current of my Beloved's love was flowing at its fiercest, It prevailed and took away all my belongings. عشق جوشید و ازو شد کارها من ندارم مایه ی کردارها I do not possess a treasure of deeds, But love has surged passionately, and this enabled everything to get done. 211
