6 THE SHINING LAMP همه در قبضه ی آن یار عزیزاند اسیر قمر و شمس و زمین و فلک و آتش و آب The moon, sun, earth and heaven—fire and water— Are all captives in the custody of that Noble Friend. انبیا را دل و جان خون والم دامنگیر قدسیان جمله بلرزند از ان هیبت پاک All angels tremble at His awe; The hearts and souls of Prophets are sorrowful and fearful. تو چه چیزی چه ترا مرتبه ای کرم حقیر جنت و دوزخ سوزنده از و می لرزند Heaven and burning Hell tremble in fear of Him. O insignificant insect! What does your existence amount to, and what is your rank? توبه کن توبه مگر در گذرد از تقصیر چند این جنگ و جدل ها بخدا خواهی کرد How long will you continue fighting and disputing with God Almighty? Repent! Repent that He might forgive your trespasses! پس چه نقصان زنکوهیدن تو و از تکفیر من اگر در نظر یار مقامی دارم If I hold any honour in the sight of the Beloved, What harm can your abuse and denial cause me? لعنت بد گهران است یکی هرزه نفیر لعنت آن است که از سوی خدا می بارد A curse is something that descends at the behest of God— The curse of inherently wicked people is just meaningless noise.
