Despite the fact that the Holy Quran affirms Jesus to be a noble prophet of God and declares him to be very dear to Him, and describes him to be noble and dignified in bearing, he is presented as a mere human being. Also, the Holy Quran does not admit in principle, the concept that for the sake of atonement, the burden of a sinful person can be transferred to another innocent being.
