The Miraculous Qasidah 55 ْ ُ تَنُوْشُھُم وَالرِّمَاح بَرِحُوْھَا فَمَا ْ ُ تَنُوْشُھُم وَالرِّمَاح بَرِحُوْھَا ُفَمَا ٍ یُکَرَّر َ طَعْن ٍ مِثْل َ رُمْح َ طَعْن اْل َ ُو ٍ یُکَرَّر َ طَعْن ٍ مِثْل َ رُمْح َ طَعْن اْل َ و They did not flee that place despite the fact that they were hit by a ‘bar- rage of spears’. And no spear injures a person as does a repeated slander. ِ وَاعِظًا الْقَوْم ِ فِي هّٰللّٰ ُ ا َ ثَنَاء وَقَام ِ وَاعِظًا الْقَوْم ِ فِي هّٰللّٰ ُ ا َ ثَنَاء وَقَام تَنَمَّرُوْا ِ قَوْمًا ِ الْغُوْل بِوَعْظ فَصَارُوْا تَنَمَّرُوْا ِ قَوْمًا ِ الْغُوْل بِوَعْظ فَصَارُوْا And when Sanaullah addressed his people, It was as if a ghoul had turned them into wild beasts. ْ َ کُفْرِھِم ْ مُکَافَأَة ْ صَحْبِي ذَکَّرَھُم َ و ْ َ کُفْرِھِم ْ مُکَافَأَة ْ صَحْبِي ذَکَّرَھُم َ ُو یُذَکَّر مَا َ الْھَوٰی ْ أَھْل َنْفَعَن ی ْ ھَل َ ُو یُذَکَّر مَا َ الْھَوٰی ْ أَھْل َنْفَعَن ی ْ ھَل َ و And my companions reminded them of the consequences of denying me. But, has an advice ever benefited the self-indulgent? ُ الْھَوٰٓی ِ ابْن الْوَفَاء أبُو َّ عَلَي تَجَنّٰی ُ الْھَوٰٓی ِ ابْن الْوَفَاء أبُو َّ عَلَي ُتَجَنّٰی َزْجُر ی َ َ و ْ جَنَاي مِن َ حَمْقٰی ُلِیُبْعِد َزْجُر ی َ َ و ْ جَنَاي مِن َ حَمْقٰی لِیُبْعِد Sanaullah, a man reigned by greed and passion, began to decry me, To deprive those who were unwise of the delicious fruits proffered by me. ْ وَخَاطَب َ مَن ْ وَّافَاه ُ فِي ْ أَمْر ِ دَعْوَتِي ْ وَخَاطَب َ مَن ْ وَّافَاه ُ فِي ْ أَمْر ِ دَعْوَتِي َرُوْا ی َ ٌ تَخ ِ مَکْر هّٰللّٰ ُ ا ْن ی ِ َم ی َ قَال َ و َرُوْا ی َ ٌ تَخ ِ مَکْر هّٰللّٰ ُ ا ْن ی ِ َم ی َ قَال َ و Everyone who approached him was told [regarding my claim]: ‘By God, it is nothing but a ploy’. ِ مُکَذِّبًا ِ الْغَیُوْر هّٰللّٰ ِا َ ب أَقْسَم َ و ِ مُکَذِّبًا ِ الْغَیُوْر هّٰللّٰ ِا َ ب أَقْسَم َ ُو َجْسُر ی َ ْف ی َ ٍ ک ْ مُّفْسِد مِّن عَجَبًا َا ی ُفَ َجْسُر ی َ ْف ی َ ٍ ک ْ مُّفْسِد مِّن عَجَبًا َا ی فَ So much so that he dared to take a false oath by the name of the Honourable and Glorious God. I am amazed at the audacity of this wicked man. ِ ْ بِوَعْظِه ْ کَفَّرُوْنِي ٌ قَد فَطَائِفَة ِ ْ بِوَعْظِه ْ کَفَّرُوْنِي ٌ قَد ُفَطَائِفَة ٌ یُّزَوِّر کَذُوْب ٌ قَالُوْا طَائِفَة َ ُو ٌ یُّزَوِّر کَذُوْب ٌ قَالُوْا طَائِفَة َ و As a result, one group denounced me as a disbeliever, While another pronounced him to be a liar.
