An Ode in Praise of God Almighty and the Best of Mankind 47 ٍ ُ بِفِتْنَۃ َ یُضَاع اْل َ َّ الْمُقَرَّب إِن ٍ ُ بِفِتْنَۃ َ یُضَاع اْل َ َّ الْمُقَرَّب ِإِن ِّ ب َـاَلَء َ کُل ُ عِنْد ُ یُکْتَب ِو َااْلَْجْر ِّ ب َـاَلَء َ کُل ُ عِنْد ُ یُکْتَب و َااْلَْجْر One who is granted nearness [to God] is not wasted while facing a trial; A reward is determined for such a one, for every single calamity he faces. ٍ بِکَرَامَۃ ْ بَیْنَنَا افْتَح رَبَّـنَا یَا ٍ بِکَرَامَۃ ْ بَیْنَنَا افْتَح رَبَّـنَا یَا و َ لُب َّ لِحَائِي ْ و َ لُب َّ لِحَائِي ْقَلْبِي ٰ قَلْبِي ٰ یَا مَن ْ یَرَی یَا مَن ْ یَرَی O our Lord! Adjudicate a respectful resolution of the dispute between us; O You Who is watching over my heart and the inner-most real- ity of what my exterior shows. ً ٗ مَفْتُوْحَۃ ٰ ا َٔبْوَا بَہ ْ ا َٔر َی مَن یَا ً ٗ مَفْتُوْحَۃ ٰ ا َٔبْوَا بَہ ْ ا َٔر َی مَن ْیَا َّ د ُعَا ئِي اَلَ تَر ُد َ ف َـ ْلِلسَّا ئِلِیْن َّ د ُعَا ئِي اَلَ تَر ُد َ ف َـ لِلسَّا ئِلِیْن O You Whose doors I see left open, For beggars, Pray, do not reject my supplication.
