An Ode in Praise of God Almighty and the Best of Mankind 35 ْ َّقِي ْ و َ مُھْجَۃ ُ مُھْجَتِي اَل َ خ ُّٰ هّٰلل َ ا ْ َّقِي ْ و َ مُھْجَۃ ُ مُھْجَتِي اَل َ خ ُّٰ هّٰلل َ ِا َّ فِدَاء ُ کُل ُ النَّفْس ٌّ فَدَتْہ ِحِب َّ فِدَاء ُ کُل ُ النَّفْس ٌّ فَدَتْہ حِب Allah, indeed, is my Creator and the Soul of my soul; He is such a Beloved to Whom my soul is wholly devoted. و َ لَہ ُ التَّفَرُّد ُ فِي الْمَحَامِد ِ کُلِّها ِو َ لَہ ُ التَّفَرُّد ُ فِي الْمَحَامِد ِ کُلِّها ع َـاَلَء ِّ َ کُل ٌ فَوْق ٗ ع َـاَلَء َ لَہ ِو ع َـاَلَء ِّ َ کُل ٌ فَوْق ٗ ع َـاَلَء َ لَہ و To Him belongs Oneness in all praises; And to Him belongs the highest heights. ٗ فَانْھَض ْ لَہ ٗ إِن ْ کُنْت َ تَعْرِف ُ قَدْرَہ ٗ ِفَانْھَض ْ لَہ ٗ إِن ْ کُنْت َ تَعْرِف ُ قَدْرَہ ْإ ِعْدَاء اْل َ ا ِو َ اسْبِق ْ بِبَذْل ِ النَّفْس ِ و ْإ ِعْدَاء اْل َ ا و َ اسْبِق ْ بِبَذْل ِ النَّفْس ِ و Stand for him if you perceive His value; And, by devoting your heart and soul, run fast and move forward. ٖ ِ ذَاتِہ بِقُوَّۃ ٗ تَبْقٰی مَلَکُوْتُہ ٖ ِ ذَاتِہ بِقُوَّۃ ٗ تَبْقٰی ِمَلَکُوْتُہ ِو َ لَہ ُ التَّقَدُّس ُ و َ الْعُلٰی بِغَنَاء و َ لَہ ُ التَّقَدُّس ُ و َ الْعُلٰی بِغَنَاء His Kingdom is everlasting owing to the power of His Essence; And to Him belongs Holiness and grandeur owing to His Independence. ٖ غَلَبَت ْ عَلٰی قَلْبِي ْ مَحَبَّۃ ُ وَجْهہ ٖ ِغَلَبَت ْ عَلٰی قَلْبِي ْ مَحَبَّۃ ُ وَجْهہ ْإ ِلْغَاء اْل َ ب ِا ُ النَّفْس رَمَیْت ِحَتّٰی ْإ ِلْغَاء اْل َ ب ِا ُ النَّفْس رَمَیْت حَتّٰی My heart became overwhelmed with the love of His Countenance; So much so that I cast aside my ego and the desires it entails. ْ و َ أَرَی الْوَدَاد َ أَنَار َ بَاطِن َ بَاطِنِي ْ ْو َ أَرَی الْوَدَاد َ أَنَار َ بَاطِن َ بَاطِنِي َح َ فِي سِیْمَائِي اْل َ ْو َ أَرَی التَّعَشُّق َح َ فِي سِیْمَائِي اْل َ و َ أَرَی التَّعَشُّق I observe that love has illuminated the innermost domain of my innermost realm; I observe that my passionate love is writ large on my face.
