THe Companions are Like The sun [al-Qa si dah] From the Author [In Praise of the Companions of the Prophet] ِ ۡ کَذُکَاء َ کُلَّھُم َّ الصَّحَابَۃ اِن ِ ۡ کَذُکَاء َ کُلَّھُم َّ الصَّحَابَۃ ِاِن ٰ بِضِیَاء َ الۡوَری وَجۡہ ۡ نَوَّرُوۡا ِقَد ٰ بِضِیَاء َ الۡوَری وَجۡہ ۡ نَوَّرُوۡا قَد All the Companions are like the Sun; They illuminated the world with their light. ۡ َّ عِیَالِھِم ۡ وَحُب اَقَارِبَهم تَرَکُوۡا ۡ َّ عِیَالِھِم ۡ وَحُب اَقَارِبَهم ِتَرَکُوۡا ِّٰ کَالۡفُقَرَاء هّٰلل َ ا رَسُوۡل ِجَاءُوۡا ِّٰ کَالۡفُقَرَاء هّٰلل َ ا رَسُوۡل جَاءُوۡا They left their relatives and beloved children And came to the Messenger of Allah like one who is destitute. ۡ ذُبِحُوۡا وَمَا خَافُوا الۡوَرٰی مِن ۡ صِدۡقِھِم ۡ ِذُبِحُوۡا وَمَا خَافُوا الۡوَرٰی مِن ۡ صِدۡقِھِم َ ب َـاَلَء َ عِنۡد الرَّحۡمَان ۡ اٰثَرُوا ِبَل َ ب َـاَلَء َ عِنۡد الرَّحۡمَان ۡ اٰثَرُوا بَل They faced slaughter without fear, such was their sincerity; They gave preference to the Gracious God even at the time of the greatest tribulation. ۡ تَحۡت َ السُّیُوۡف ِ تَشَھَّدُوۡا لِخُلُوۡصِھِم ۡ ِتَحۡت َ السُّیُوۡف ِ تَشَھَّدُوۡا لِخُلُوۡصِھِم َۡم ۡـاَلَء اْل ِشَھِدُوۡا بِصِدۡق ِ الۡقَلۡب ِ فِي ا َۡم ۡـاَلَء اْل شَھِدُوۡا بِصِدۡق ِ الۡقَلۡب ِ فِي ا They recited the Shah a dah despite the sword bearing down on their necks; such was their devotion. They testified to the truth publicly with the sincerity of their hearts. ۡ حَضَرُوا الۡمَوَاطِن َ کُلَّھَا مِن ۡ صِدۡقِھِم ۡ ِحَضَرُوا الۡمَوَاطِن َ کُلَّھَا مِن ۡ صِدۡقِھِم ٍ رَج ۡاَلَء حَرَّۃ فِي لَھَا ِحَفَدُوۡا ٍ رَج ۡاَلَء حَرَّۃ فِي لَھَا حَفَدُوۡا They presented themselves for every battle; such was their sincerity. They hastened forth even if they had to cross the wilderness.
