Do Not Mock the Companions 17 ٌ مُجَامِل مَوۡلًی ٌ مُجَامِل ِ مَوۡلًی ُ الۡوَجۡہ ِکَرِیۡم ُ الۡوَجۡہ َ کَرِیۡم َ وَاَنۡت ِوَاَنۡت َ التَّخَیُّر َ بَعۡد ِ الۡغِلۡمَان اَلَ تَطۡرُد ِف َـ َ التَّخَیُّر َ بَعۡد ِ الۡغِلۡمَان اَلَ تَطۡرُد ف َـ You are Kind and Gracious and Benevolent; Do not turn away Your servants after You have chosen them. وَجِئۡنَاك َ کَالۡمَوۡتٰی فَاَحۡي ِ اُمُوۡرَنَا ِوَجِئۡنَاك َ کَالۡمَوۡتٰی فَاَحۡي ِ اُمُوۡرَنَا ِ فَاغۡفِر َ فَاغۡفِر َمُسۡتَغِیۡثِیۡن َ مُسۡتَغِیۡثِیۡن َ وَنَسۡتَغۡفِرَنۡك وَنَسۡتَغۡفِرَنۡك We came to You like the dead—bestow life upon our affairs! We beg for Your forgiveness while beseeching Your help— for- give us, therefore. ۡ ۡ تَرُدُّنِي ٍ یَااِلٰھِي ِّ بَاب اَي اِلٰی ۡ ۡ تَرُدُّنِي ٍ یَااِلٰھِي ِّ بَاب اَي اِلٰی اَتَتۡرُکُنِي ۡ فِي کَف ِّ خَصۡم ٍ مُخَسّرِي اَتَتۡرُکُنِي ۡ فِي کَف ِّ خَصۡم ٍ مُخَسّرِي Through which door—O my God—will You suffer me to pass? Will You forsake me in the grip of the bloodthirsty enemy? اِلٰھِی ۡ فَدَتۡك َ النَّفۡس ُ اَنۡت َ مَقَاصِدِي ِ اِلٰھِی ۡ فَدَتۡك َ النَّفۡس ُ اَنۡت َ مَقَاصِدِي ن ۡ لَّدُنۡك َ وَبَشِّر ِّ ِ تَعَال َ بِفَضۡل ٍ م ن ۡ لَّدُنۡك َ وَبَشِّر ِّ تَعَال َ بِفَضۡل ٍ م O my God! May my life be sacrificed for You—You are my ulti- mate pursuit. Come with Your grace and give us glad tidings. ً َ تُکَلِّم ُ رَحۡمَۃ اْل ۡ أَاَعۡرَضۡت َ عَنِّي ً َ تُکَلِّم ُ رَحۡمَۃ اْل ۡ ۡأَاَعۡرَضۡت َ عَنِّي ۡوَقَدۡ کُنۡتَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ الۡمَصَائِبِ مُخۡبِرِي وَقَدۡ کُنۡتَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ الۡمَصَائِبِ مُخۡبِرِي Have You turned away from me and stopped speaking mercifully to me? Did you not tell me about the calamities beforehand? ً وَکَیۡف َ اَظُن ۡ زَوَال َ حُبِّك َ طَرۡفَۃ ً ِوَکَیۡف َ اَظُن ۡ زَوَال َ حُبِّك َ طَرۡفَۃ َ الۡمُتَکَثِّر ۡ حُبُّك ُ قَلۡبِي ِوَیَأۡطِر َ الۡمُتَکَثِّر ۡ حُبُّك ُ قَلۡبِي وَیَأۡطِر How can I even imagine losing your affection, When Your abundant love is forever drawing my heart to itself ? ٍ وَجَدۡت ُّ السَّعَادَۃ َ کُلَّھَا فِي اِطَاعَۃ ٍ ِوَجَدۡت ُّ السَّعَادَۃ َ کُلَّھَا فِي اِطَاعَۃ ِ مِن ۡ خُلُوۡص ٍ وَّیَسِّر ِٰخِر مِن ۡ خُلُوۡص ٍ وَّیَسِّر اْل ۡ فَوَفِّق ِٰخِر اْل ۡ فَوَفِّق I found all happiness in obedience; So grant me the best of sincerity and facility.
