God Punishes He who Exceeds All Limits ً اَل ِ ُّٰ صَائ هّٰلل اِذَا مَا غَضِبْنَا غَاضَب َ ا ً اَل ِ ُّٰ صَائ هّٰلل ٗاِذَا مَا غَضِبْنَا غَاضَب َ ا ٗعَلٰی مُعْتَد ٍ یُـؤْذِي ْ و َ بِالسُّوْۤء ِ یَجْھَر عَلٰی مُعْتَد ٍ یُـؤْذِي ْ و َ بِالسُّوْۤء ِ یَجْھَر When We are angry—God punishes him who crosses all limits and intends egregious evil. ٍ ظَالِم َّ ُل ک ٌ َاسِر ک ٌ و َ یَأْتِي ْ زَمَان ٍ ظَالِم َّ ُل ک ٌ َاسِر ک ٌ ٗو َ یَأْتِي ْ زَمَان َّ الْمُدَمَّر اْل ِ َن َّ الْیَوْم َ ا ک ٗو َ ھَل ْ یُھْـلَـ َّ الْمُدَمَّر اْل ِ َن َّ الْیَوْم َ ا ک و َ ھَل ْ یُھْـلَـ The time is nigh when He will destroy everyone unjust and cruel. Only they will die who have [already] been murdered by their own sins. ْ ُن ْ لَّھُم ک َ اس ِ اِن ْ لَّم ْ ی َّ وَاِنِّي ْ لَشَر ُّ الن ْ ُن ْ لَّھُم ک َ اس ِ اِن ْ لَّم ْ ی َّ ٗوَاِنِّي ْ لَشَر ُّ الن ٌ یُّصَغِّر ْ صَغَار َ اِھَانَتِھِم ٗجَزَاء ٌ یُّصَغِّر ْ صَغَار َ اِھَانَتِھِم جَزَاء I would be the worst of the worst, if the reward for their insolence is not their own humiliation. ُّٰ اَن َّ الطَّعْن َ بِالطَّعْن ِ بَیْنَنَا هّٰلل َی ا قَض ُّٰ اَن َّ الطَّعْن َ بِالطَّعْن ِ بَیْنَنَا هّٰلل َی ا قَض ْ لِیُبْصِرُوْا ٌ اَتَاھُم َ طَاعُوْن فَذَالِك ْ لِیُبْصِرُوْا ٌ اَتَاھُم َ طَاعُوْن فَذَالِك God has decreed that t a‘n [piercing reproach] should beget t a‘n [piercing illness—the plague]. Hence this ‘plague’ is what would overtake them. ٖ وَلَمَّا طَغَی الْفِسْق ُ الْمُبِیْد ُ بِسَیْلِہ ٖ ٗوَلَمَّا طَغَی الْفِسْق ُ الْمُبِیْد ُ بِسَیْلِہ ٗ الْمُتَـبِّر الْمُتَـبِّر 1 1 ٭ ُ٭ َان َ الْوَبَاء ک ْ ُتَمَنَّیْت ُ لَو َان َ الْوَبَاء ک ْ تَمَنَّیْت ُ لَو Only when pernicious impiety exceeded all limits, did I wish for the devastating plague.
