Response to the booklet entitled Ilh a m i Girgit 65 And as the verse 1 َو اًۢرِّشَبُم ٍلْوُسَرِب ْيِتْاَّي ْۢنِم يِدْعَب ۤٗهُمْسا ُدَمْحَا points to the fact that in the latter days there will be a manifestation of the Holy Prophet Muhammad s as and he will be like one of his hands, and his name in the heavens will be Ahmad, and like the Messiah of yore he will spread religion in a beautiful manner. (Appendix, Tu h fah Golarhwiyyah, Ru ha n i Khaz a ’in, vol. 17, p. 68–69) Esteemed readers, take note! The passage clearly states that the Quranic verse points to a manifestation of the Holy Prophet Muhammad s as in the latter days. Hadrat Mirza Sahib does not claim that the verse mentions him directly, but states that it refers to him in his capacity of reflection and shadow of the Holy Prophet Muhammad s as. In Hadrat Mirza Sahib’s estimation, the verse is fulfilled in the person of the Holy Prophet Muhammad s as , for he further writes: Our Prophet has two names. (1) One is Muhammad and this is the name given to him in the Torah. The Torah is a fiery law as can be seen from the verse: ۡن َ مَعَہ ٗۤ اَشِدَّآء ُ عَلَی الْكُفَّار ِ رُحَمَآء ُ بَیۡنَہُمْ. . . ذٰلِك َ مَثَلُہُم ْ فِی ي ِو َ الَّذ ؕ ِ هللا ُ مُحَمَّد ٌ رَّسُوۡل 2 التَّوْرٰىۃِ 1. And giving glad tidings of a Messenger who will come after me. His name will be Ahmad ( S u rah a s - S aff, 61:7). 2. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. And those who are with him are hard against the disbelievers, tender among themselves. . . This is their description in the Torah. ( S u r a h al-Fath, 48:30)
