136 Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) A conference held annually and attended by Ahmadi and non-Ah- madi Muslims and other peo- ple throughout the world in large numbers. The annual conference was initiated by the Promised Mes- siah as in 1891. It is known by its original Urdu name, Jalsa Salana. A yatul-Kurs i The Throne Verse of the Holy Quran, Chapter 2, verse 256. Holy Quran The Book sent by Al- lah for the guidance of all man- kind. It was revealed to the Holy Prophet s as , over a period of twen- ty-three years.
