Therefore, even if the words “ ‘ I sa” or “Messiah” are used, the story clearly indicates that here Jesus of the Gospels is being portrayed and not Hadrat ‘ I s a as of the Holy Qur’an who was a Prophet of All a h sent as a messenger to Ban i Isr a’i l and who after being absolved of all the calumnies, left this world in a great victory. Before presenting his (The Promised Messiah’s) belief about Hadrat ‘ I sa as , the prophet of All a h, mentioned in the Qur’an, and his love for him, we would like to explain the meaning of the word “ H a su r” mentioned in the above extract. In the Qur’an this is a name used for Hadrat Ya h y a as. The significance of this name, as explained in the above extract, while a comparison is drawn from the Gospels between Jesus and John the Baptist, is exactly the same as written in “Tafs i r Ibni Jar i r, Tafs i r J a mi‘ul Bay a n, Tafs i r Kam a lain, and Tafs i r Tarjam a nul Qur’an”. In all these books, the meaning of “Ha su r” is given as ﻻﻳﻘﺮب ّﺬى اﻟ اﻟﻨﺴﺂء ﻳﺄﺗﻰ َ ﻻ ّﺬى اﻟ ، اﻟﻨﺴﺂء “the one who does not go near women. ” In the Gospels there is not a single story that tells that Ya h y a (John the Baptist) ever mingled with
