An Announcement for Public Awareness Anyone who has seen copies of Sheikh Muhammad H usain Batalawi’s magazine Ish a ‘atus-Sunnah , listened to his sermons, or read his letters, can testify to the kind of language that he has used with regard to my humble self, and can see how his words are full of egotism and arrogance. While he calls me a liar and an impostor, he himself claims to be an eminent maulaw i. He says that I am completely ignorant and do not have any knowledge of Arabic. Perhaps, all this nonsense is intended at influencing peo- ple to acknowledge Sheikh Batalawi as a great scholar of Arabic, and view me and my friends as ignorant and, therefore, not to be trusted. They will be led to think that only the testimony of real maulaw i s is credible. In a public meeting in Lahore, I had already informed this poor man of the Divine revelation I had received: َ َانَتَك ه ن ْ اَرَاد َ اِ َّ اِنّی ْ مُھِیْن ٌ م I shall humiliate him who designs to humiliate you.
