He claimed to be the very Promised Messiah and Mahdi whose advent had been foretold by the Holy Prophet Muhammadsa. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is now established in more than 200 countries. After his demise in 1908, the institution of Khilafat (successorship) was established to continue his mission and move- ment, in fulfilment of the prophecies made in the Holy Quran and by the Holy Prophet Muhammadsa. Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmadaba is the Fifth Successor to the Promised Messiahas and the present Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
