A PR I M E R OF R E L IGIO U S K NOW L E D GE A PR I M E R OF R E L IGIO U S K NOW L E D GE 54 سُوۡرَۃ ُ قُرَیۡشٍ S u rah Quraish [Chapter 106 of the Holy Quran] ْمِهِفٰلٖا َةَلْحِر ِءٓاَتِّشلا َو ْۤيِذَّلا ْمُهَمَعْطَا ْنِّم ٍعْوُج١ۙ۬ َّو ْمُهَنَمٰا ِمْسِب ِهّٰللا ِنٰمْحَّرلا ِمْيِحَّرلا۰۰ِفٰلْيِاِل ٍشْيَرُق۰۰ۙ ِفْيَّصلا۰۰ۚاْوُدُبْعَيْلَف َّبَر اَذٰه ِتْيَبْلا۰۰ۙ ْنِّم ٍفْوَخ۰۰ Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim. Li- i l a fi Quraish. I l a fihim ri h latash-shit a ’i wa s-s aif. Faly‘abud u Rabba h a dhal-baitil- ladh i a t ‘amahum min j u ‘in-wa- a manahum min khauf. 1. In the name of Allаh, the Gracious, the Merciful. 2. To bind the Quraish together, 3. And to promote their alliance We have devised trade jour- neys of the winter and the summer— 4. Hence they should worship the Lord of this House, 5. Who has fed them against hunger, and has given them security against fear.
