If they have shame, they may ponder on this secret: They desire my abasement but I obtain honour instead! How have they harmed us by their scheming until now? They came upon us like dragons but then became lizards. O scholars of religion and wise ones, I do not understand Such malice and enmity, after seeing this Sign of truth. When the Companions of God’s Messenger found the truth, They excelled in sacrificing their wealth, bodies and life. What is world’s eminence; the world itself is not lasting! Who mysteriously gives me victories in every field? Who it is Who is humiliating you every instant? You used to say that I would be soon destroyed: “This is a lowly prey within reach of our hands”. (175)
