– FULFILMENT OF A GRAND PROPHECY 108 age this noble, revered person has been accused and slandered in the same way, the one whose holiness and pure life, and innocence and, chastity the leaders of the deniers of Khilafat were themselves convinced of, and who had been given the names of Mahmood and Joseph by Allah, and had been declared to be in the likeness of the Messiah pertaining to his beauty and benevolence, and through whom the perfection of the second type of grace had been promised and in whose favour the Promised Messiah as had said: ام ِ الْرِّضْاعِ. . . َّ َّ اِن َّ لِی کَان َ اِبْنًا صَغِیْرًا و َ کَان َ اِسْمُہ ُ بَشِیْرًا فَتَوَفَّاہ ُ اہلل ُ فِی اَی اَن ہ ُ فِی ْ رُؤْیَاھَا ُّ ً عَلَیْک َ و َ کَذٰلَک َ رَأَت ْ اُم ل نَرُد ُّ ہ ُ اِلَیْک َ تَفَضُّ بِّی ْ اِنَّا َّ َ فَاُلْھِمْت ُ مِن ْ ر فَاَعْطَانِی ،ِ ۃ َُّْع رس ِ وَ لَمْ اُفَارِقْ بِال ۃ نَقَ وَ قَالَ اِنّیِ اُعَانِقُکِ اَشَدَّالْمُعَا ، َ ء ُ الْبَشِیْرَ قَدْ جَا یْتُہ َّ ٰاخََوَ ھُوَ خَیْرُ الْمُعْطِیْنَ. فَعَلِمْتُ اَنَّہُ ھُوَ الْبَشِیْرُ وَ قَدْ صَدَقَ الْخَبِیْرُ فَسَم اہللُ اِبْن ًا لِ فِیْ جِسْمِہٖ. َّ َ الَْو ۃ َ حُلْی وَاَرٰی بِاِسْمِہٖ، That is to say, ‘I had a younger son whose name was Bashir [the First – J. D. S]. Allah the Almighty caused him to die while he was yet a suckling babe. Then Allah the Almighty said to me by way of revelation that, “We shall return him to you out of Our grace. ” Similarly, the mother of this child saw in a vision that Bashir has come and says that I shall cling to you with great strength and shall not part from you quickly. After this revelation and vision Allah the Almighty bestowed upon me a second son. Thereupon, I knew that this is that same promised
