330 convey to the Christian world abroad, the message of Palestine to kindle its fire wherever it is fading; voicing this message longest where sometimes people deafen their ears or close their eyes to its reality and truthfulness۔Whence the great honour that we have asked for, to speak from the rostrum of this very great conference, the Islamic Summit to the Christians of the world, and to the Muslims as well, proclaiming that Jerusalem is their pride and glory and that, once delivered by rightful struggle, this Holy City of God will be the source of the virtues of the new man who will, in our homelands, stand against the injustices from which we have all suffered۔You will allow me at this junction to salute His Highness Pope Paul VI for his constant concern about Jerusalem, his indefatigable struggle against, its judiazation, and his insistence on its remaining the city of faith and peace۔For then will Jerusalem appear again, in its glorious light, giving a new life to the oppressed who through their sufferings, have dreamt of it as the unique symbol of their perfection and ideals۔Now we say how much we are all nostalgic of this particular beauty and nobility of Jerusalem that emanated from a holiness that no other city has ever had, and which had been in the blessed custody of its Arab inhabitants, now subjected to tyranny, and many of whom have been forced to emigrate from their most beloved city۔But let the enemy know: the Arabs are still alive, a nation determined to fight for its right to return to Jerusalem۔
