Islam requires that a Muslim should start his meals by saying: بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 'Bis Millah, Hir Rahma, Nir Rahim. '. Translation:. In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Ever Merciful. and finish by reciting: اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ الَّذِى اَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ. 'Alhamdo Lilla hillazi at'amna wa saqana wa ja' alna minal. Muslimeen. '. Translation:. All praise is due to Allah who has given us to eat and to drink and has made us Muslims. . Islam also requires that a Muslim should eat with his right hand and should wash his hands before and after meals. 3
