CHAPTER 17 The Prophet sa as a Summoner to All a h 400 God as my witness I thought that these are not the manners of a king. H u du r sa repeatedly asked me to accept Islam and gain peace. I humbly said, 'I am already following a religion. ' He said, 'I know about your religion more than you do. ' I was surprised and asked how did he know more than me? The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa asked me if I belonged to such a sect of Christianity. I replied in the affirmative. H u du r sa said, 'You receive one fourth of the bounty of war according to the ancient Arab custom. ' Again I replied in the affirmative. H u du r sa said, "You know it is not permissible in your religion. " I said, 'it is correct. ' Listening to all this I realized in my heart that he appeared to be a Messenger sent by God as he possessed such knowledge. Then the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa said, 'O ‘Ad i , your hesitation in accepting this faith could be that in your opinion, only the weak and poor people, who were rejected by the Arabs, have accepted this faith. I take oath in All a h's name, these people will have so much wealth that needy persons would not be found any more. ' Again he said, "The other reason for your hesitation could be that we are small in numbers and our enemies are great in number. I take oath in the Being in Whose hand is my life, this faith will dominate and a lone woman on a camel's back would be able to travel from one corner of Arabia to the other without any fear or danger
