Muhammad sa The Perfect Man 179 H uyayy bin Akh t ab. Hadrat Ab u Ayy u b An sa r i due to his deep love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa perceived some danger to his safety. For the whole night he stood guard outside H u du r sa 's tent. In the morning he informed the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa of his apprehensions and about his standing on guard for the whole night. The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa prayed for him instantly "O All a h, always protect Ab u Ayy u b as he diligently guarded my safety for the whole night. "This prayer was accepted. Hadrat Ab u Ayy u b An sa r i ra enjoyed a very long life and his tomb is preserved in Constantinople and even today is a favourite visiting place for the general public. 76 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa prayed for his companion Sa‘d ra , "O All a h, accept the prayers of Sa‘d". This prayer elevated Hadrat Sa‘d ra to the status of a saint, whose prayers were accepted. During the reign of Hadrat ‘Umar ra he was the governor of K u fah. A person named Ab u Sa‘d accused him of injustice and embezzlement. When Hadrat Sa‘d ra came to know he prayed "O All a h, if this person is a liar, grant him a long life and a state of permanent destitution. Deprive him of his eye sight and make him a target of tribulations". Hadrat Sa‘d ra 's prayer was accepted and this person became a blind beggar in his old age.
