CHAPTER 7 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 's Deep Love for the Holy Quran 136 Holy Prophet Muhammad sa reciting S u rah At- T i n and said under oath that he had never heard a more beautiful recitation than H u du r sa 's. 31 Hadrat Mu‘ a dh ra was instructed by the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa to recite relatively shorter S u rahs like S u rah Ash-Shams , A d - D u ha , Al-Lail and S u rah Al-A‘l a in ‘Ish a ’ S al a t. 32 On the days of Jumu‘ah and Eid, S u rah Al-A‘l a and S u rah At-Tagh a bun have been reported to be recited by the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa. Similarly in Jumu‘ah prayer, the recitation of S u rah Al-Jumu‘ah in the first Rak‘ a t and S u rah Al-Mun a fiq u n in the second Rak‘ a t has been mentioned in the traditions. 33 In brief the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 's love for the Holy Qur’ a n is to be found in the frequency of his recitation. The Holy Qur’ a n was the sustenance for his soul. The state of his mind can be described in this verse; "My heart yearns to embrace this scripture. I wish to circuit round the Qur’ a n all the time. As this is my Ka‘bah.
