CHAPTER 26 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 's Love for his own Offspring and other Children 654 ring as a token, to Makkah, for bringing Hadrat Zainab ra to Mad i nah. Hadrat Zaid ra sent this ring to Hadrat Zainab ra and Abul ‘ As through their shepherd. The same night Hadrat Zainab ra accompanied by Hadrat Zaid ra left for Mad i nah. On her arrival in Mad i nah the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa said, "This daughter of mine has endured a great deal of suffering on my account and she has superiority over my other daughters. 18 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa was appreciative of his son-in-law, Abul ‘ As that he had fulfilled his promise of sending his daughter to Mad i nah to be with him. 19 Once the Muslim contingent attacked a trade convoy of Abul ‘ As while it was returning from Syria and confiscated their merchandise. Abul ‘ As came to Mad i nah and sought Hadrat Zainab ra 's protection. Although Hadrat Zainab ra had separated from her non-believing husband, she in return for his kind behaviour and as an act of human kindness, announced her protection for him. The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa who never rejected any asylum given by a Muslim woman, not only accepted Hadrat Zainab ra 's protection, but also gave all the merchandise back to Abul ‘ As. The result of this favour was that Abul ‘ As returned all the trusts he owed to Quraish, announced his acceptance of Islam and returned to Mad i nah. 20
