Muhammad sa The Perfect Man 525 tribulation would have become unbearable. God comforted him at every step. Sometimes He consoled him by saying; "We will, surely, suffice thee against those who mock:" (15:96) And at times comforted him; "And All a h will protect thee from men. " (5:68) When the people targeting him with ridicule called him 'Mudhammam' (worthy of condemnation) instead of his holy name Mu h ammad, he used to say, "Look how God saves me from their abuse. My name is Mu h ammad, given to me by God. These people are abusing someone called Mudhammam. " 2 The non-believers of Makkah tried different methods of torture, all of these were cruel, shameful and below the dignity of man. But none of these could shake his resolve. One such method was to get the Holy Prophet Mu h ammad's daughters, who were already married in to Quraish, divorced. First of all they incited ‘Utbah bin Ab u Lahab, who divorced H u du r sa 's daughter Ruqayyah ra. 3 The second son of Ab u Lahab was married to H u du r sa 's daughter Umme Kulth u m ra.
