They started to suffer from fever. H u du r sa used to pray, "O All a h, ingrain the love for Mad i nah in our heart. Make it even a more beloved place than Makkah. O All a h, increase the livelihood of the inhabitants of Mad i nah. Make its climate suitable for us. Remove this fever epidemic and bestow double blessings on Mad i nah than Makkah. " 20 In time the love of Mad i nah became so ingrained in the heart of the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa and his Companions that staying away from this town played heavy on them. The Companions narrate that whenever the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa returned from travels, on seeing the walls of Mad i nah, he used to urge his mount to run faster. This was due to his love for Mad i nah. 21 In the last years, the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa stayed out of Mad i nah for nearly a month due to the expedition of Tab u k. On his return when he reached the hillocks around Mad i nah, his eyes caught sight of Mad i nah, in a state of adoration he said, " ٰ ِ ﻫ َ ﺬ َ ہ ﻃ ُ ﺎﺑ ﺔ ""See our holy city of Mad i nah is here, Mad i nah is here.
