So they must invoke All a h's name before and after the meal. 36 Etiquettes of Entering a House In training his Companions the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa was mindful of even the smallest things. So he taught his Companions the manner of entering a house. Hadrat J a bir ra relates that once he went to see H u du r sa. He knocked at the door. The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa enquired as to who it was J a bir replied, "It is me. " H u du r sa said, "What does this signify?" This showed his dislike of the expression and wanted his Companions to say their names instead. So afterwards the Companions would tell their names while seeking his permission to enter. 37 The manner of Offering S al a t The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa taught the manner of offering S al a t by his own beautiful example. He would also monitor his Companions and offer advice. Once H u du r sa saw a person who came and offered S al a t but did not complete his Ruk u ‘ and prostration.
