CHAPTER 7 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 's Deep Love for the Holy Quran 128 these verses is the creation of the heavens and the earth by the Creator of the universe and pondering over the signs therein. These verses give rise to fervour for the worship of God. 8 Similarly the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa used to recite various verses of the Holy Qur’ a n before going to sleep. In one of the tradition it is related by Hadrat ‘ A ’ishah ra , the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa used to recite the last three S u rahs of the Qur’ a n and blow into his hands and pass them over his body before going to sleep. 9 Hadrat J a bir ra relates that H u du r sa used to recite S u rah Ha M i m As-Sajdah and Al-Mulk before going to bed. 10 Hadrat ‘ A ’ishah ra tells us about H u du r sa 's recitation of S u rah Az-Zumar and Ban i Isr a ’ i l before going to sleep. 11 Hadrat ‘Arb ad bin S a riyah ra relates that the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa before going to sleep used to recite the S u rahs which begin with glorification of God e. g. Al- H ad i d , Al- H ashr , A s - S aff , Al-Jumu‘ah , Al-Tagh a bun and Al-A‘l a. He used to say that these S u rahs include a verse which is better than a thousand verses. 12 Hadrat Khub a b ra tells us that before going to bed the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa recited all the S u rahs after Al-K a fir u n ( Al-Lahab , An- Na s r , Al-Ikhl as , Al-Falaq and An-N a s ). 13 Hadrat ‘Auf bin M a lik Ashja‘ i ra relates that
