Muhammad sa The Perfect Man 127 Hadrat Umme Salamah ra relates the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa used to pause at the end of the verses. He would stop at every verse of Al-F a ti h ah , at "Rabbul ‘ A lam i n""Ar-Ra h m a n""Ar- Ra hi m". 6 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa used to pronounce every word clearly and separately while reciting the Holy Qur’ a n. His voice would ebb and flow with emotions. Someone asked the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa about the best form of recitation. H u du r sa replied, that a recitation which shows fear of All a h. His own citation reflected this emotion of fear. His main preoccupation was the Qur’ a n. During the day, especially in S al a t, he used to repeat and rehearse the newly revealed verses. Even at night the verses of the Holy Qur’ a n would be on his tongue. Hadrat ‘ A ’ishah ra relates that whenever she woke up during the night, the verses glorifying God would be on his lips, ْ ٰوَّﻣَﺎﻣِﻦ ٍ اِﻟ َّﻪ ُّٰاِﻻ ُاH ُاﻟْﻮَاﺣِﺪ اﻟْﻘَﻬَّﺎر ُّ. ٰرَب ٰ اﻟﺴَّﻤ ِ ﻮ ِت وَاﻻَْرْض َوَﻣَﺎ ْ ﺑ ِﻨَﻬُﻤَﺎ ْ اﻟْﻌَﺰ ُ ﻳ ُﺰ اﻟْﻐَﻔَّﺎر. (38:66-67) "There is no God but All a h, the One, the Most Supreme, the Lord of heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, the Mighty, the Great Forgiver.
