Muhammad sa The Perfect Man 869 Hadrat Asm a ’ ra asked the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa "Does this formality count as a lie?" The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa said, "Yes, a small false utterance would be a small lie and a big one would be counted as a big lie. " 35 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa liked informality in all matters. He was the true picture of َ َ ﻣ َ ﺎ ا ِ ﻧ َ ﺎﻣ ُْﻦ َ امل ﺘ َِّ ِ ﻠ ْ ﻔ ني. He was very hospitable but did not practice formality. He used to offer whatever was available to the guests. When I had eaten my share I asked H u du r sa 'Can I take another sip?' He replied, "Yes". 36 Once the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa had a guest, he looked around in his house for some food to offer him. He did not find anything except a portion of bread. The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa cut it in pieces and brought it for the guest. He ate some of it and some of it was left over. This guest told him, "You are a pious person. " 37 It seems that the guest was starving and he ate his fill and thanked him earnestly.
