CHAPTER 33 The Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 's Magnificent Trust in God 804 used to begin with this prayer that his total trust is in God Almighty. On leaving the house he would pray ِ ّٰ َّ ﺑِﺴْﻢ ِ اﻟﻠ ﺗَﻮََّﻠْﺖ ُ َ َ اﻟﻠ ّٰ ِ، ﻻَﺣَﻮْل َ وَﻻَﻗُﻮ ة ِ ّٰ ◌ َ اِﻻَّﺑِﺎﻟﻠ 'with the name of All a h, I have put my trust in All a h. No one has the power and authority except All a h. ' He used to say, "When a person leaves home with this prayer, he in response, is informed, 'You have been guided, this prayer is enough for you and you would be saved. ' So Satan stays away from this person and tells him that how could he have any control on the one, who has been guided, protected and assured of sufficiency? 5 When the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa prepared to go to sleep, he offered a prayer of trust in God and advised his Companions to do the same. Hadrat H udhaifah bin Al-Yam a n ra relates; "When the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa used to go to bed or sleep, he prayed; َ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ ﺑِﺎمسِْک اَﻣُﻮْت ُ وَاَﺣْﻴَﺎ 'O All a h, with Your name I die and come to life'. " 6 In the battles the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa put his total trust in God. Hadrat Anas Bin M a lik ra relates, "Whenever the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa used to go to battle, he used to pray َ ّٰ ا ُ ﻟﻠ َّ ﻬ َﻢ ْ ا َ ﻧ َﺖ ُ ﻋ ِ ﻀ ْ ﺪ َی َ و ِ ﻧ ِْ ﺼ ْ ري ِی َ ﺑ َک ُ ا ْ ﺣ ُ ﻮ َل ِ و َ ﺑ َک ُ ا ْ ﺻ ُ ﻮ َل ِ و َ ﺑ ُک َ ا ِ ﻗ ُ ﺎﺗ ﻞ "O All a h, You are my support and my helper, with Your help I plan, with Your succour I attack and with Your name I fight. " 7 For protection from the mischief of Anti- Christ of the later days, the Holy Prophet
