10 graciousness and. An incident of similar mercy on the part of the Promised Messiah also took place in the case of Malavamal, an. Arya Samajist of Qadian. From the days of his youth, this man had had been in frequent contact with Hazrat Ahmad, and was thus an eye witness of many Signs and miracles. But in his prejudice against Ahmadiyyat, he was so far advanced that on many occasions when the Promised Messiah called upon him to bear witness to these Signs and miracles, he always held back. At one time, this Malavamal fell a victim to tuberculosis, and his condition became almost hopeless. In deep despair, he repaired to the Promised Messiah, in tears, over his dire distress, begging the Promised. Messiah, to favour him with prayer for his recovery. The Promised Messiah in the proverbial gentleness and kindliness of his heart, was greatly touched, and prayed for his recovery, whereat he received a Revelation to the following effect: "O thou flame (of disease) cool down, and turn into a means of safety.
