Muslim rulers of great power and grandeur, but also in this town lay buried a large number of the righteous servants of God, whose shrines have a powerful appeal for the people even at this time. In accordance with the sunnat of the righteous people, and in the humility of mind characteristic of the Promised Messiah a desire arose in his heart that he should visit the graves of those holy people, and 54
