The Miracle of Ahmad — Page 47
THE MIRACLE OF AHMAD 47 fault lies with his mentor, Maulawi Muhammad Husain. And at every place where the issue of the life and death of Hadrat Isa is raised before them, they forthwith begin to quote a huge assort- ment of traditions from Şahih al-Bukhārī, Şahih Muslim, Jāmi Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sunan Abū Dāwūd, Sunan Nasā'ī, Musnad Imam Ahmad, Tabarānī, Mu'jam Kabir, Nuaim Ibn Hammad, Mustadrak Hakim, Şahiḥ Ibn Khuzaimah, Nawādir-ul- Uşūl Tirmidhi, Abū Dāwūd Tayālisi, Ahmad, Musnad al-Firdaus, Ibn Asākir, Kitāb al-Wafā Ibn Jauzī, Sharḥ as-Sunnah Baghawi, Ibn Jarir, Baihaqi, Akhbār al-Mahdi, Musnad Abū Yalā, and cer- tain other books of Hadith saying they all mention that 'Isā will descend. Only a few days have passed since Maulawi Muhammad Husain tried to ingratiate himself with the British Government by presenting to them a book regarding the Mahdi. The book says that not even a single hadith regarding the Mahdi can be proved as authentic. The author has also received a piece of land as reward for his services. I do not know what services he has rendered. But, one service that he has surely rendered to the government is that
