THE MIRACLE OF AHMAD وَحِزْبٌ مِّنَ الْأَشْرَارِ آذَوْا وَأَنْكَرُوْا فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ الْأَحْرَارِ لَا يُنْكِرُوْنَنِي There is one group of fair-minded people that does not reject me; And, there is one group of mischief-makers that persecutes me and refuses to accept my claim. وَقَدْ زَاحَمُوْا فِي كُلِّ أَمْرٍ أَرَدْتُهُ فَأَيَّدَنِي رَبِّي فَفَرُوْا وَأَدْبَرُوا They placed hurdles in all that I intended to do; Hence, God helped me and forced them to flee and distance themselves from me. وَكَانَ سَنَا بَرْقِي مِنَ الشَّمْسِ أَظْهَرُ وَكَيْفَ عَصَوْا وَاللَّهِ لَمْ يُدْرَ سِرُّهَا By God I am not aware of what caused them to disobey the Almighty; The light of my erudition, though, shone forth brighter than the sun. وَكَانَ الْأَقَارِبُ كَالْعَقَارِبِ تَأْبُرُ لَزِمْتُ اصْطِبَارًا عِنْدَ جَوْرِ لِئَامِهِمْ I endured their cruelties and remained patient with them; On the other hand, my own relatives sought to sting me like a scorpion. وَيَعْلَمُ رَبِّي سِرَّ قَلْبِي وَسِرَّهُمْ وَكُلُّ خَفِيٌّ عِنْدَهُ مُتَحَقِّرُ God my Lord knows the secret of my heart as well as theirs; All that which is hidden is manifest before Him. 121
