114 HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMAD وَمَا الْبِرُّ إِلَّا تَرْكُ بُخْلٍ مِّنَ التَّقَى وَمَا الْبُخْلُ إِلَّا رَدُّ مَنْ يَتَبَقَّرُ And, what is piety except shunning parsimony when it comes to observing taqwā? And, what is parsimony but to deny the superiority of the one who is equipped with wider and better knowledge. فَإِنَّ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ يَهْدِي وَيُخْبِرُ وَقَالُوا إِلَى الْمَوْعُوْدِ لَيْسَ بِحَاجَةٍ And, they said that there was no need for the Promised Messiah; As it is for the Book of Allah to provide guidance and give glad tidings. وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا بِالْغَيُوْرِ دُعَابَةٌ فَيَا عَجَبًا مِّنْ فِطْرَةٍ تَتَهَوَّرُ Indeed, this is to treat God with mockery and ridicule; It amazes me to find people with such audacity. وَ مِنْ دُوْنِهِمْ فَهُمُ الْهُدَى مُتَعَسِّرُ وَ قَدْ جَاءَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ بِالرُّسُلِ تَوْأَمًا The fact is that Word of Allah and Prophets are like twins to each other; It is difficult to understand the Word of God without help from the Prophets. إِلَى سَاعِدٍ يُجْرِي الدِّمَاءَ وَ يُنْدِرُ فَإِنَّ ظُبَى الْأَسْيَافِ تَحْتَاجُ دَائِمًا The blade of the sword needs an arm to cause blood to flow, And the head to be severed from the body.
