Undated 389 the heavens. As Allah the Exalted said to the Holy Prophet s as that he should say, ‘I am not but a man sent as a Messenger. How can I go to the heavens?’ And then, it is said in the Holy Quran: 1 ٌّرَقَتْسُم َّو ٌعاَتَم ىٰلِا ٍنْيِح ٌّرَقَتْسُم َّو ٌعاَتَم ىٰلِا ٍنْيِح The True Nature of Mi‘r a j The Promised Messiah as then said: The opposing maulaw i s present the hadith of the Mi‘r a j [Spiritual Ascension] in opposition to us. However, the belief of Hadrat Ayesha ra was that anyone who says that the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, went to the heavens with his physical body is slandering him. In the same way, the Imams and Noble Companions also believed that the Holy Prophet went to the heavens with a luminous body and not with a physical body. Similarly, Sh a h Waliull a h also had the same belief, and Sh a h ‘Abdul-‘Az i z also wrote the same thing, that one does not go to the heavens with this phys- ical body.
