26 December 1905 199 went so far as to say that if you have even an iota of faith, you would have these blessings and those blessings. In short, he and Moses, peace be upon them both, left dis- pleased with their followers and regretted that they could not find a faithful congregation. It is an absolutely true affirmation that nowhere in the Torah nor the Gospel has it been said: َيِضَر ُهّٰللا ْمُهْنَع َيِضَر ُهّٰللا ْمُهْنَع —‘Allah was pleased with them. ’ However, in contrast to this, the Jam a ‘at that was available to the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and who had received the impress of his power of holiness, has been described in the Holy Quran as: 1 َيِضَر ُهّٰللا ْمُهْنَع َو اْوُضَر ُهْنَع َيِضَر ُهّٰللا ْمُهْنَع َو اْوُضَر ُهْنَع What is the reason for this? This is the result of the power of holiness of the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. It is also one of the reasons for the excellence of the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that he brought such a high-ranking Jam a ‘at into being. I claim that no one has been bestowed such a Jam a ‘at from the time of Adam until the present. The Present Situation of the Jam a ‘at I am aware that I have not yet been granted such a Jam a ‘at. When I issue a verdict on a matter, only a few people accept it wholeheartedly. They were so devoted to the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and ready to lay down their lives for him that they sacrificed their lives. Now, if 1. Allah is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him ( S u rah al-Bayyinah, 98:9). [Publisher]
