Malf uza t - English translation of Urdu Volume 8 192 14 December 1905 Offering Prayer behind a Non-Ahmadi Two men took Bai‘at [the Pledge of Allegiance]. One asked whether it is permissible to offer Prayer behind a non-Ahmadi or not. The Promised Messiah as said: They call us k a firs [disbelievers]. If we are not k a firs , that kufr [disbelief ] reverts upon them. The one calling a Muslim a k a fir, is himself a k a fir. For this reason, it is not permissible to offer Prayer behind such people. Moreover, those in their midst who remain silent [regard- ing us being Muslim or k a fir ] are also included among them. It is not permissible to offer Prayer behind them either because they harbour some opposing religious belief in their hearts which prevents them from openly joining us. 1 1.
