2 December 1905 183 time. He relished asceticism. He visited me for almost 22 years. The first time he came, I was in Hoshiarpur. So he came to visit me right there. There was a warmth and an attraction within him and an affinity towards me. Once, he started learning the Holy Quran from me, but only a few lines were studied. He possessed a sufi temperament. His son should complete and perfect his religious studies and become a servant of the Faith like his father, and it is better if he comes here and acquires religious knowledge. 1 2 December 1905 A Vision and a Revelation I saw in my dream that a hen was sitting on a wall and was say- ing something. I can recall only its last words, which were: َ ُنْتُم ْ مُّسْلِمِیْن ك ْ اِن َ ُنْتُم ْ مُّسْلِمِیْن ك ْ اِن (Translation) If you are Muslims Then I woke up. I was wondering what it had said and received the revelation: ُنْتُم ْ مُّسْلِمِیْنَ. ك ْ ِ اِن هللا ِ اَنْفِقُوْا فِی ْ سَبِیْل ُنْتُم ْ مُّسْلِمِیْنَ. ك ْ ِ اِن هللا ِ اَنْفِقُوْا فِی ْ سَبِیْل (Translation): Spend in the cause of Allah, if you are Muslims. 1.
