Malfuzat - Volume VIII — Page 160
Malf uza t - English translation of Urdu Volume 8 160 command is related to religious law, and the technical term for it is Shariah. The second type of commandment is ْ ُوْنِی ك ْ ُوْنِی ك [ k u n i — to be], and these orders and commandments fall within the expression of a Divine decree, for example: 1 اَنْلُق ُراَنٰي ْيِنْوُك اًدْرَب َّو اًمٰلَس اَنْلُق ُراَنٰي ْيِنْوُك اًدْرَب َّو اًمٰلَس And it wholly came to pass. And the command in this reve- lation of mine also seems to be of this type. Allah the Exalted desires the Muslims upon the earth to unite under one religion, and they will definitely do so. However, this does not mean that no differences will remain among them. Disagreements will also remain, but they will be of a calibre that is not worthy of mention or regard. 2 1. We said, ‘Turn cold, O Fire, and be a source of peace for Abraham’ ( S u rah al-Anbiy a ’, 21:70). [Publisher] 2. Al- H akam, vol. 9, no. 42, p. 2, dated 30 November 1905
