Likewise, Sa'dī used to hold the same conviction, and this conviction is verily true. No Muslim of exalted rank can ever be opposed to it. Saʻdī says: وه که گر مرده باز گردیدی بسرائے قبیله و پیوند رو میراث سخت تر بودی وارثان را از مرگ خویشاوند There would have been outrage if the dead had returned to their family and the houses of their kinsfolk; Returning the legacy would have been more difficult for the heirs than the death of their own kindred. ¹ 1.
