Malfuzat - English translation of Urdu Volume 7 264 the Holy Prophet s as ], whereas, I make an Ummati [of the Holy Prophet s as ] the Messiah. 1 Undated The Need for True Knowledge and the Means to Acquire it The faculty of pleasure and delight develops from knowledge. What can be done without knowledge and cognisance? This prayer has this secret also hidden within it: 2 ِّبَر ْيِنْدِز اًمْلِع ِّبَر ْيِنْدِز اًمْلِع This is because the more his knowledge expanded, the more his cognisance, pleasure, and motivation increased. Therefore, if a person wants to cultivate a taste and passion for the love of Allah the Exalted, he should acquire true knowledge about Allah the Exalted. And this knowledge can never be attained unless a person spends time in the company of the righteous and observes majestic manifestations of Allah the Exalted. 1.
