Malfuzat - English translation of Urdu Volume 7 196 It is possible that by admonishing repeatedly someone may take heed. It was mentioned that a foul-mouthed person in Ludhiana has again taken to hurling abuse. The Promised Messiah as said: It is best to avoid such people now. What reply can I give? God is now beginning to reply Himself. The Cause of the Descent of Calamities It was mentioned that a tornado struck a city in such a way that a part of it was completely destroyed. The water of the river Beas had stopped flowing due to a landslide, and there was fear that when it bursts sud- denly, a violent flood will be the outcome. The Promised Messiah as said: Calamities are being faced on all fronts. All four elements are bent upon destroying man because he has disobeyed God. The Promised Messiah as said: The task is not accomplished fully by words alone. The prac- tice of Allah has always been that Signs are shown. Words of a revelation contain metaphors as well. ‘ Earthquake’ sometimes means an earthquake itself, while sometimes it refers to a severe calamity.
