Malf uza t - English translation of Urdu Volume 9 230 The Time for the Descent of a Calamity The Promised Messiah as said: It is proven from the a ha d i th 1 that calamities usually descend at night and after sunset, when darkness spreads. 2 Criticizing an Act of God Almighty is Insolence The Promised Messiah as said: Criticising an act of God Almighty is an act of great insolence. What do these people amount to? A Prophet ( Jonah as ) came under reproof for just saying, 3 َذَّابًا ک ْ قَوْمِي ی ٰ لَن ْ اَرْجِع َ اِل َذَّابًا ک ْ قَوْمِي ی ٰ لَن ْ اَرْجِع َ اِل. In reality, not being fully at peace with an act of God Almighty is also a hid- den objection. The Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is addressed: 4 َواَل ْنُكَت ِبِحاَصَك ِتْوُحْلا َواَل ْنُكَت ِبِحاَصَك ِتْوُحْلا In such matters, though Prophets are addressed but in reality, the purpose is to instruct the ummah. How clear is the criterion to judge my truthfulness as there is no issue that its precedent does not exist in the earlier ummahs [peoples]. Note how clear the issue of the second coming of the Messiah becomes through the coming of Elijah. This is such an event that both peoples, 1.
