Malf uza t - English translation of Urdu Volume 9 120 (At the time of Z uhr) Cure for the Plague Today the Promised Messiah as came to the mosque for the Z uhr Prayer prior to the arrival of the common worshippers. Someone mentioned that there was an outbreak of the plague in some of the nearby villages. The Promised Messiah as said: This time the disease is generally of a more dangerous form. At most places it has been on the rise during the whole of winter. It will be even more dangerous during the intervening period. There is no cure for it other than taubah and istighf a r [repent- ance and seeking forgiveness from God]. The Practice of the Promised Messiah as for Z uhr Prayer The Promised Messiah as directed: ‘Call Maulaw i Noor-ud-Deen so Prayer may be offered. Maulaw i Sahib was called, and the Z uhr Prayer was offered at 1:30 p. m. After offering the far d Prayer in congregation, the Promised Messiah as retreated inside. This is the permanent practice of the Promised Messiah as that he observes the first four rak‘ a t [units] of sun- nah of Z uhr Prayer at his home and then comes to the mosque for the congregational Prayer, and the latter two rak‘ a t of sunnah Prayer he also performs at home. On some occasions if the Promised Messiah as desires to sit in the mosque after the far d [obligatory Prayer] then he offers the latter two rak‘ a t of sunnah Prayer also in the mosque. 1 1.
